We had a great evening at Clarke Quay recently. People usually associate CQ with night clubs, high-end dining, and adult entertainment. But there is no reason why the kids can't enjoy the buzz of the place too.

We went early, had a meal at Brewerkz, along with some very fine ale (they brew their own and have a rather tasty selection), and then moved on for Turkish ice cream and some middle-of-the-road live music in the centre of the 'umbrellas'.

Brewerkz is great for kids-the kids' menu is pretty standard but the portions are big and include a drink. The attraction for them, however, is the fountain right next door. There were some kids splashing around in it, but thankfully my kids were satisfied to watch and not get too wet.
We were lucky to pick a relatively cool evening, and it was wonderfully relaxing to sit and watch life on the river. And a stroll along Clarke Quay is always mildly entertaining- you may be lucky and catch someone on the Bungee (or you could try it yourself!). As night kicks in the lights are very pretty, and there is always something to look at.
