Congratulations to everyone who managed to win free tickets for events happening tomorrow for Singapore's first Family Day Out. In April I posted that 15,000 free tickets were being given away, and it seems that more than 40,000 people signed up online or wrote in to claim freebies.
For those of us who didn't win the freebies, there will still be special family packages available for the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, Jurong Bird Park, Downtown East, Sentosa, Playground @ Big Splash, and the five museums. For every two paying adults entering the Singapore Zoo, Jurong BirdPark or the Night Safari tomorrow (24th May) one child can enter free.
At the Jurong BirdPark mainstation, have fun with colourful face painting of dino-themed tattoo. Also at the BirdPark, every weekend until 22 June, enjoy “String Fling” marionette (puppet) show at the Pools Amphitheatre, and larger than life puppet ostriches, flamingos and cranes that stand over 15ft tall!
All month, there will be special events at the Singapore Zoo (meet the Flinstones), roaming stilt walkers and cavemen at the Night Safari, and some interesting exhibitions at the museums.
For more information on special events throughout the month, go to the National Family Day calender of events.
