The river at Boat Quay will be the centre of attention this weekend as a extravagant fantasy world is being created by French Street Theatre Troupe IIotopie. A man driving his car on water, his head bursting into flames, giant mechanical sets, sea creatures rising from the water, fireworks...it all sounds very exciting. And it is free!
This opening of the Singapore Arts Festival, called Water Fools will be performed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at 8pm. On Friday night there will be roaming entertainers mixing with the crowd from 7pm, so get down there with the kids for a memorable event.
For more information on the Singapore Arts Festival, which runs 23 May - 22 June, go to their website here: Singapore Arts Festival. There are also many children's events happening, including workshops in such things as Fun with mine, Poetry with Puppets, Percussion Music and Comedy by Children.
