The Straits Times reported today that Sentosa's Underwater World is the first aquarium in Asia to acquire remotely operated vehicles. What are these? I hear you asking. Called Ocean Invaders, apparently they are underwater video cameras equipped with lights and propellers. You can hire them for $1 for 10 minutes and manoeuvre them to get a closer look at the marine life or a panoramic view. Direct them towards any fish in the tunnel aquarium and see the reaction.

Sounds a little intrusive to if the marine life don't have enough to deal with.

9am to 9pm daily (Last admission at 8.30pm)
Adult: $19.90
Child 3-12 years old: $12.70
Child below 3 years old: Free
