Pony rides are now available at Horse City. Actually they have been available for a while, but now instead of a 2 minute ride around a tree, your child can have a 5 minute ride in the open grass area adjacent to the carpark. For this thrill you must pay $10.

To me this sounds like a hefty price for one circuit of a green patch, and I would hate to have to explain to my child why he can't stay on the pony for another 4 minutes (OMG $20 for less than 10 minutes of fun!). But I guess in Singapore there are few opportunities for children to get to sit on a ponies back, and if you were having a meal at Picotin, it could be a fun add-on for the kids.

You can also purchase a small bag of feed for the ponies for $2. This is actually good fun for the small kids if the ponies are nibbling. They look like very well-fed ponies to me so could loose interest quickly. This little Japanese boy was very excited to be feeding the cute pony.

Riding lessons are also available for groups and private classes and helmets, boots and breeches can be purchased here.

This is the first and only public riding school in Singapore. The whole concept seems to be ideal for family and horse lovers. But it is a shame that they do not provide good customer services.

customer service in Singapore? Those words shouldn't be in the same sentence with Singapore, unless the words "no, not or never" is in it.
