If you're looking for something to do with the kids this Chinese New Year, an interesting day can be had down at the Philatelic Museum on Tuesday 27th January. The museum is open free of charge from 9am til 7pm and there are a few great activities planned. Here is what will be happening:


  • "The Watchtower Warrior" Storytelling Session

11am-12.30pm

Suitable for 6-8year olds

$15 which includes story book, activity books, games, arts and crafts.


  • Lunar Caricature Lunacy

11am-3pm

Have your caricature drawn for $5 by a member of the Association of Comic Artists (Singapore).

  • "The Eternal Cow" Guided tour

2pm-2.30pm

Discover through the beautiful stamps in this exhibition why the ox is the second animal in the Chinese zodiac and the traits of those born under this zodiac sign.

  • Chinese Lion Dance Performance

3pm-3.30pm

Presented by the Juboon Lion and Dragon Dance Troupe


  • Guzheng Musical Performance

4pm-4.30pm

Music lover Mr Mohammed Faizal will charm you with his Guzheng Performance.
