Looking for Halloween costumes in Singapore? It is difficult to find anything that is not expensive and tacky in the shops here, despite Singapore being haled as a 'shoppers paradise'. You can try looking in Carrefour and ToysR'Us but in my experience there is nothing here very interesting. Cold Storage have their Halloween accessories out now, with masks and Dracula capes priced at around SG$25.

The Magic Wand shops at Tanglin Mall, Lucky Plaza, Suntec City and Funan Mall, have a small selection of children's costumes, ranging from SG$39.90 to SG$59.90. I have found in the past that they sell good accessories like hats and wigs too if you don't want to buy a full costume.

The Chinese 'uncle' shop in Holland Village (right by The Body Shop) always sell Halloween costumes and accessories and you can pick up fake teeth, blood and fingernails to add to your costume here for low prices. There is also Party City at Holland Village and Raffles City which has a more expensive range of excellent Halloween costumes and decorations.

If you are creative, I would suggest heading to Arab Street and looking through all the fabric stored there for inspiration. You can also pick up Halloween costumes at eBay and of course Amazon.com

Hi there. I will check out the Toysrus costumes in that case! If you phone foodinfinity.com on +65 9452 9835 (Manoj)they will be able to help you, no doubt. The cakes on the site are just a guide and you can specify whatever design you would like. Have a great party/Halloween!

Hi i was attracted to your blog when i was searching for places to go during Halloween in Singapore. Do you know of anywhere that my friends and i can dress up and not look out of place?.. haha

I'm sorry but I don't know the exact address of the 'uncle' shop in Holland Village. It is easy to find though, if you know HV. If you know Crysal Jade on the corner of Lor Liput, turn the corner and walk up towards Holland Rd past Burger King, lots of banks, and Starbucks and it is up near the top of the slope. Beyond it is the 'Party City' shop (upstairs).

Hope that helps?

Hi Clara,
Are you looking for parties or just some trick or treating? If you are looking for a party, there are some good suggestions here: http://www.focussingapore.com/events-festivals/singapore-halloween/halloween-party-ideas-in-singapore.html

Also the Night Safari have a great Halloween party, so you can check it out here:

If you want to do some trick or treating they do it in the Woodlands area but I don't have any details yet. You can also visit Chip Bee Gardens, opposite Holland Village, on 31st for trick or treating, as a lot of the houses are decorated and people wander the streets in their costumes looking for treats. Come early though, cos we run out of candy quickly!

Hi Milly,

Was google-ing for halloween costume and stumble across your blog. I agree that it's hard to get a decent halloween costume in Singapore. It's not a culture here to celebrate it but my friend and I decided we should dress up and have some fun this year. =) Anyway... I'm still thinking of what I should wear for halloween and will check out e stores you've mentioned. THANKS!! =)
