Happy New Year from Martin, myself, and Martin's parents Bill and Rene, (and Maya who took the pic and Ben who is nowhere to be seen!)
Happy New Year everyone. I hope the coming year will bring us all closer to our dreams and keep us healthy and at peace with the world.
I am still coming to terms with the fact that another year has zipped by while I wasn't looking. Can it really be 2010 already? It is more than 10 years since I became a mother, and very nearly 10 years since we left Australia for Hong Kong, then Beijing and Singapore.
There have been some wonderful highlights of 2009. Our holidays in Phuket, Australia and Cambodia stand out of course. I have made some lovely friendships through my flamenco dancing and managed to get through my tercer exam and dance in the end of year recital.
The kids have grown up so much in the past year, getting tall and strong, Ben loving his football with International Soccer Academy and Maya taking up netball and now swaveboarding. Maya has continues with her piano lessons (Ben gave up) and is now playing very prettily.
And as for New Year Resolutions, mine is GET RID OF THE JUNK...the junk that is cluttering up my house, my computer, and most importantly, my head. This junk tells me I'm not good enough, not worthy enough, not smart enough to follow my dreams and be a success. I am cleaning it all out, detoxing, living cleanly and staying focused. My eyes are bright and clear and focused on improving my families member's lives and the lives of others. There, I have committed myself now, so here's to making 2010 a successful year.
